We are delighted to announce a special evening in the company of the charismatic Glasgow-born winger, Pat Nevin as he launches the second volume of his memoir Football and How to Survive It.

Had his life played out according to his own instincts, we may never have heard of Pat Nevin, the Premier League and Scottish International footballer.

Instead, The Accidental Footballer (the title of the first volume of his memoir, published two years ago), became a household name. A highly skilled, tricky winger, who – having scored 160 goals in one season playing for a local boys’ team in his home city of Glasgow – may have longed to be a striker – played for Chelsea and Everton, and won 28 caps for Scotland.

Always harbouring much wider interests than just football, Pat is now a well-known writer and broadcaster for, among others, the BBC and the Irish radio station Newstalk. He also loves DJing at clubs and festivals around the UK.

Football and How to Survive It: an evening with Pat Nevin promises to be as entertaining and refreshing as the man himself.

I used to walk miles to see Pat Nevin play football and I’d do the same now to read his thoughts. Always challenging, always entertaining.
