Rosamund de la Hey: From Harry Potter to Main Street

Rosamund de la Hey joined Bloomsbury Publishing just as the Harry Potter phenomenon started and worked with the team that promoted the books until 2007. In the teeth of the financial crisis she then launched Main Street Trading Company* in St Boswell’s, near Melrose, an independent bookshop that has become famed for its author events, its deli (and its café!). Rosamund will talk to us about working with JK Rowling, building a business in the Borders, and the challenges of bookselling in the age of Amazon and the E-book.
